The stark reality of the pandemic's aftermath is evident, especially in the Hispanic community of Snohomish County, Washington. Data from a 2020 census painted a sobering picture: almost half of the Latinos in the U.S. either knew someone personally affected by COVID-19 or were directly impacted themselves. These figures aren't mere statistics; they represent genuine stories, struggles, and the resilience of families, both mentally and financially.
Our seven-week Mental Health Education Series, championed by the accomplished Dr. Rodolfo A. Trivisonno, offers a guiding light in these trying times. A distinguished BIPOC medical practitioner affiliated with Cascadia Trainings Inc., Dr. Trivisonno, having honed his expertise in Psychiatry from Argentina and later in the USA, seamlessly melds his deep knowledge with genuine compassion.
Across these seven weeks, participants will delve deep into two-hour sessions unpacking the complexities of anxiety, depression, and the overarching psychological ramifications of the pandemic. But it doesn't stop there. The series empowers attendees with tools and strategies to tackle any life crisis, beyond just the confines of COVID-19. By emphasizing resilience, adaptive coping mechanisms, and leaning on community, our mission is to embolden our community members to not only weather life's storms but to rise above them, stronger.
Embark with us on this transformative seven-week journey. Together, as a community, we will navigate, understand, and heal, building a brighter and mentally healthier future for all navigating these unparalleled challenges.
